The Blue Planet 9′6″ x 30″ “Nalu” stand up paddle surfboard is my favorite Blue Planet board I’ve tried so far. The board reminds me of a classic longboard shape and rides very predictably. I like the wide nose because it adds a bit more floatation and stability. The rounded pintail turns nicely and the two other guys that tested it with me thought the same things. I recently purchased an Evolve “Pintail” electric skateboard from Evolve Asia. This is the third electric skateboard I’ve bought so far. The first was the Altered Electric M6 800 which I got from Robert at Blue Planet Surf. I actually got 2 of those because I thought it would be fun for two people to ride together. Story: by Connor Baxter
The 2013 Ubatuba Grand Slam was by far the biggest turnout on the Standup World Series. From the first day of the sprints to the last seconds of the event when they took the tents down, there were a lot of spectators there to support and cheer us on.

Story by Connor Baxter
The 2013 Abu Dhabi All-Star event was amazing. It started off with a long trip across the world. There were only 18 competitors invited to this event. We got to surf in a wave pool called Wadi Adventures. The waves were about head high and we could go left, right, or have a closeout. The first round we all got three lefts, then three rights and last three closeouts. They took the top one score from each type of waves and the top six from that made it to the quarters. Unfortunately I did not make that cut but felt like I was surfing good.

Event Update by Connor Baxter
The 2013 Patagonia Chile event was amazing. It started off with a lot of traveling and long car rides. On the way to Patagonia, I saw more sheep and llamas and alpacas than I did people – we were in the middle of nowhere. Once we finally got to this beautiful place the water was freezing and the air was cold – but it was perfect racing conditions.
