Starboard’s Beau O’Brian Wins the Doctor!

A long time coming, but all the training paid off! Congratulations to Beau O’Brian for winning the Doctor Race in Australia over the weekend. Beau was able to narrowly out paddle Travis Grant for the win.

Starboard’s Finn Mullen Wins Circle One East Strand!

With the Causeway Coast Surf club hosting the last contest of the season, the luck of good conditions for competitions in 2014 continued and the renowned beach of East ‘the Beast’ strand on the beautiful North Coast of Portrush, Northern Ireland turned on for a classic contest of good vibes and fun waves. Finn Mullen took the win followed by a stoked Owen Waters in second and Tony Doherty in third who consistently picked off the set waves with his local knowledge. Search For SIC Maui Junior Development Team Athletes With TPA

SIC Maui (Sandwich Islands Composites) is excited to announce we are currently in search for two youth athletes to join the SIC family as members of our SIC Junior Development Team with our SIC Grom Search. The selection of these two founding members (one boy and one girl) will focus on the goal of developing their paddling, conditioning and race skills in a structured “team training environment.”

Starboard Israel and Paddle For Hope

We had a huge event last week at our club in the Caesarea Nautical Center.
300 Paddlers and more than 1000 people in total came to see the STARBOARD PADDLE FOR HOPE 2014. that was the biggest SUP event that held place in Israel so far (we broke last year record).

SIC Maui Paddles Lake Mead!

SUP event with Miss Hawaii contestants

We had the opportunity to sponsor the 2015 Miss Hawaii and Miss Teen Hawaii Pageants which will be held on November 23rd, 2014. As part of the sponsorship, we took the contestants Stand Up Paddling at Ala Moana Beach park, this event is featured in the video below. The winners of the pageants will also win a new Blue Planet SUP board, we will post about that later.

Finn Mullen wins 2014 Irish SUP Surf Championships

It’s been a successful Autumn for Starboard rider Finn Mullen who won his 6th consecutive Irish SUP title in perfect surf at the 2014 Irish National Championships Bundoran, County Donegal. The famous A frame reef wave of the ‘Peak’ in Bundoran was the contest venue and the near flawless conditions saw some of the best surf experienced for a national championships in recent years. SIC Team Athlete Lina Augaitis Wins 2014 Stand Up World Series

OAHU, Hawaii – SIC Maui Team Athlete Lina Augaitis sealed the 2014 Stand Up World Series title over the weekend with her results from the final round of the series at the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu. Fresh off her Battle of the Paddle victory on her SIC X-14 PRO-LITE in the distance race, Augaitis was off to Oahu in a very tight race with Australia’s Angie Jackson for the overall title.
