Just purchased my first board. Never surfed before and wanted to get into the sport for fun and also a new workout routine.
Local surf shop in Rhode Island recommended the Jimmy Lewis 11′ x 30″ board. I’ve been out every day and addicted; love the sport. My only concern is whether or not I got the right board?
I am 5′9″ and 180-185lbs.
Appreciate any feedback…..Thanks.
That board is what I started on and the 3rd board I rode. It’s very stable for new riders and can surf ok with some effort. Compared to the boards now, it’s all personal preference.
