I got a chance to visit the Blue Planet surf shop on Ward Avenue in Honolulu Hawaii yesterday after their renovation. I was really impressed. I got a first hand tour of the mobile command center for Kainoa McGee’s Ohana Surf Project. Sean Anderson shows us both the Mercedes Sprinter van and the school bus looking board van. I have to say that I was impressed. This was the first time I’ve seen a Mercedes Sprinter used for a surf school. Definitely first class.

The 2015 Pacific Paddle Games was one of the biggest, craziest and the most stacked field of athletes I have ever competed against.
The first day kicked off with the first round of the technical race, which was four rounds of 25 people. And the top athletes made it straight to the semi-final round. The losers went into a repercharge round – and the winners of the repercharge would go to the semi-finals.

Kai Lenny excels in the sprint racing to secure the win take the Overall victory here at the Victoria Cup Hayama Pro in Japan
In a dramatic Final heat here at stop #2 of the 2015 Stand Up World Series, Kai Lenny (Naish) digs deep and resets himself mid way through to find a window of opportunity while rounding the final buoy to take the win in the sprint racing component of the Victoria Cup Hayama Pro. Once round the buoy, he accelerated to move into second past the World Rankings leader Connor Baxter (Starboard), then past Casper to move into first and take victory on this final day of action.

Connor Baxter continues his winning streak to take the win in the long distance on Day 1 of the Victoria Cup Hayama Pro Japan
Connor Baxter (Starboard) puts on another stellar performance in today’s long distance race to take the win on Day 1 here in Japan, but not without a serious battle. Connor led through the first lap, but on the upwind leg on lap 2, Kai Lenny (Naish) was able to battle back to take the lead coming into the top buoy.
