The Waterman League Group announces the Official rebranding of Stand Up World Tour and Series into the unified APP World Tour
North Shore Oahu, Hawaii, January 19th, 2017– The newly-formed Association of Paddlesurf Professionals (APP), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Waterman League Group, announces a rebranding of the Stand Up World Series (Racing) and Stand Up World Tour (Surfing), to align under a new single banner, the APP World Tour.

Efforts Led by Asia-Based AID Partners, LLC.
North Shore Oahu, Hawaii – (January 10th, 2017) – The Waterman League Group, known for its professional paddlesurfing racing and surfing league, today is pleased to announce it has closed a Series A round of financing. The efforts were led by private equity firm AID Partners (AID), LLC and Darren Shaw, a Hong Kong based co-investor: both entities will join the Company’s board of directors. The proceeds of this investment will be used to expand the Waterman League’s Paddlesurf World Tour events established in 2009.

The 2016 Quiksilver JM Survivor Race
The 2016 Quiksilver Survivor Race was a huge success – with very tough competition. It was a one day event and had the survivor format – which is the hardest race format for short sprints. The first heat started with 44 men and the bottom 10 were eliminated. This was the worst round for me and I got stuck in the back of the pack. I finished in 11th and made it through to the next round, but this year each round you get points for what place you get and at the end you want the smallest number of points.

The 2016 Molokai2Oahu Championships was a big turn out with some tough competition. This is one of the biggest events in Hawaii for stand up paddling.

Connor wins his 7th Straight Victory
at the Maui-2-Molokai 28-Mile Crossing
Connor’s victory extends the longest winning streak in the men’s sport. Not only has Connor never lost this race, but nobody else has ever won it. Connor took out the inaugural event as a scrawny teenager at 15 years old back in 2010, and he has triumphed every year since.

Connor Baxter secures Victory at Stop 2 of the 2016 World Series
The 2016 SUP World Cup in Scharbeutz Germany was a huge event. There was a huge crowd on the beach and a stacked field of competitors. After five weekends of racing in Europe, it was finally coming to an end. This was my Sixth and Final Event in Europe for the summer.
