The 2014 Maui-2-Molokai World Cup Championships was a great event. We all got up early – 5:00am – so that we could gas up the boat and get over to Mala Wharf to launch our boat. The Camp David World Cup of SUP to kick off next weekend in Fehmarn, Germany
Fehmarn, Germany will be the new host location of this year’s Camp David World Cup of SUP, stop number 3 of the 2014 Stand Up World Series and Stop 4 of the European Cup. This $25,000 World Series event will kick off next Friday 18th July, as the World’s best descend upon Northern Germany for an event to remember, as the World Series picks back up where it left off in Abu Dhabi back in April.

Zane Schweitzer makes it 3 from 3 on the European Cup by taking the win in Finland
Zane Schweitzer (Starboard) puts on another impressive performance at Stop 3 of the European Cup presented by Starboard by winning the long distance race and placing 2nd in the sprints, earning him his 3rd straight win on the Cup. This result has made him now untouchable on the European Cup Ratings.

Zane Schweitzer makes it two from two on the European Cup, winning Oleron & Bilbao
Zane Schweitzer (Starboard) puts on another stellar performance today to secure another win here at Stop 2 of the European Cup presented by Starboard: the Oleron Island Paddle Challenge. With a 3rd place in the Long distance race yesterday, Zane stepped up on Day 2 of the event to secure a win in the sprint racing, duplicating his results from Bilbao and notching up another well deserved victory.

Titouan Puyo continues his charge to take the win on Day 1 of the Oleron event
Titouan Puyo (Starboard) continues his charge today at the beautiful Island of Oleron in France by taking the win on day one of the Oleron Island Stand Up Paddle Challenge, stop number 2 of the European Cup, presented by Starboard. A relatively slow start, saw Titouan gradually build momentum through the race and then step up into overdrive over the second half of the course to take the win in one of the first true downwinders of the season.

Zane Schweitzer overcomes the odds to secure the well deserved win in Bilbao
Zane Schweitzer (Starboard) arrived at night on Friday, without his boards and paddles to take part in this weekends event and traveling all the way from Tahiti. Despite the borrowed board and paddle and travel exhaustion, Zane put on a strong performance on Day 1 to secure an impressive 3rd place in the Sprint Racing, especially considering the caliber of the competition.

The 2014 Olukai Ho’olaule’a was a great event. It might not be obvious to everyone there, but the Olukai team invests maybe as much time in doing a community service as it does on the race days. This year as they closed out their 6th annual Ho’olaule’a they shared a giveback day at Kaheawa Wind mills. More than 75 of the OluKai ‘Ohana planted 30 Koa trees.
