Oahu’s Fabled North Shore to play host the ultimate Open to the 2015 Season
From the 6th 18th February, Oahu’s North Shore will play host to the most complete SUP Surfing spectacle of the year, featuring World Tour Openers for both Men and Women,the Na Kama Kai Youth Challenge and Clinic, not to mention the Tribute to the Legends, honoring the leading figures and pioneers of the ever evolving, but well rooted Ocean Sport culture.

With the Causeway Coast Surf club hosting the last contest of the season, the luck of good conditions for competitions in 2014 continued and the renowned beach of East ‘the Beast’ strand on the beautiful North Coast of Portrush, Northern Ireland turned on for a classic contest of good vibes and fun waves. Finn Mullen took the win followed by a stoked Owen Waters in second and Tony Doherty in third who consistently picked off the set waves with his local knowledge. It was a picture perfect ending to what has been an amazing event here in Morocco today as the last 4 battled it out in pristine groomed surf that saw the highest scores of the contest posted in these last 4 heats (semis, consolation finals and finals).

It’s been a successful Autumn for Starboard rider Finn Mullen who won his 6th consecutive Irish SUP title in perfect surf at the 2014 Irish National Championships Bundoran, County Donegal. The famous A frame reef wave of the ‘Peak’ in Bundoran was the contest venue and the near flawless conditions saw some of the best surf experienced for a national championships in recent years. A dramatic final day of close finishes sees Sean Poynter crowned victorious in France
Sean Poynter (Starboard) has been looking for redemption for some time now: rightly one of the favorites on the Stand Up World Tour and in 3rd place coming into this event, Sean hasn’t been able to close the deal to take the win at an event since 2012, when he was within inches of a World Title.

Day 3 of the La Torche Pro France sees spectacular action in Main event, Round 1
A beautiful day here in Finistere as the Men’s Main Event of the 2014 La Torche Pro France got underway in nothing short of epic conditions. A solid, long period swell, light offshore winds and bright blue skies provided the perfect backdrop to a full day of competition that saw us wrap Round 1 and the Repechage of the Main Event, as well as Round 1 of the Na Kama Kai Youth Challenge.

La Torche Pro France gets off to a spectacular start with a stadium set up
Pointe de la Torche provided a spectacular amphitheater for today’s action as the Trials component of the 2014 La Torche Pro France got underway in beautiful conditions. Sunshine, waves and thousands of people lining the cliffs of the legendary Point here in the department of Finistere provided the backdrop for a full day of action on the water.
