Key names to watch out for in the Surfing World Tour at Wadi Adventure
The talent pool here at the Abu Dhabi All Stars is intense and as we saw in Brazil, the competition fierce.
Clearly Caio Vaz (Art in Surf) is coming off 2 straight wins and will be looking to continue his roll, something he is entirely capable of doing and Keahi de Aboitiz (JP Australia) has been on fire this year, really pushing the outer limits of the sport with his progressive surfing.
However, you can never count out Kai Lenny (Naish), who is here for redemption and make up for his performance in Brazil and get back on a roll, but also last year’s Abu Dhabi All Star Zane Schweitzer (Starboard) will be looking for a repeat win here in the UAE.
Beyond these talents, there are so many athletes looking for and capable of Gold here in Abu Dhabi that it is going to be a showdown like not other.
- Full field of talented Australians
- Packed Brazilian crew
- Strong US contingent
- Impressive Hawaii team
- French, European and Tahitian crew here to make a statement
Watch it all go down live starting this Sunday 13th April. Warm up and training will take place in the morning leading to the Main event by Midday with Men’s Round of 32. Join us at: http://watermanleague.com/events/2014-abu-dhabi-all-stars-grand-slam
In the Women’s division, the Top 10 are here to do battle for the All Star Title
In the women’s division it is equally as intense, with Current World Champion and ratings leader Nicole Pacelli looking to strengthen her position, but coming up against Brazil winner Izzi Gomez (Starboard), Candice Appleby, Aline Adisaka (New Advance), Iballa Moreno (Starboard), Sophia Bartlow and many more serious talents on the Stand up World Tour.
What’s more, it has become a seriously international affair, with athletes from the US, Hawaii, Australia, France and Spain arriving to do battle for the All Stars Title.
This will be a showdown not to miss, as the girls put it all on the line here at the Abu Dhabi All Stars, for the Stand Up World Tour at Wadi Adventure Park. Make sure to join us live from Sunday through Tuesday at: http://watermanleague.com/events/2014-abu-dhabi-all-stars-grand-slam
