Magallanes Paddle Challenge to open 2013 World Series
This year’s World Series Opener will venture into uncharted waters and tread new ground for the sport of Stand Up Paddling as a whole. Set in the dramatic surroundings that the region of Patagonia, South Chile provides, from the 14th – 17th March the Magallanes Paddle Challenge will see a selection of the World’s best athletes battle it out for the $20,000 prize-money below the Glaciers for the first stop on the 2013 Stand Up World Series.

Kai Lenny regains his Sunset Beach Pro Title with a win
After having to settle for 3rd place overall in 2012, and narrowly losing to Bonga Perkins in the Finals of the 2012 Sunset Beach Pro, the young Kai Lenny (Naish) from Maui, Hawaii was a man on a mission this year at Sunset Beach, putting together a string of standout performances through the heats to make it all the way to the Final.

Sunset Beach sees another day of spectacular action today
For a second day in a row, Sunset delivered big powerful surf for the assembled contenders to battle it out for the event crown. Sunset once again called the shots, as the competitors put it all on the line in the maxing conditions, providing more spectacular rides, heavy wipeouts and drama, as we completed Round 1, the repecharge and got half way through Round 3 of the Main event.

Sunset Beach provides magic for Day 1 of the Main Event
It was a magical day at Sunset Beach today, with a picture perfect Hawaiian day accompanied by giant but managable surf in the 12ft+ range (20ft plus faces). The perfect setting saw some spectacular action that took us all the way through the trials and through 6 heats of the 1st round in the Main Event. With mindblowing conditions and action to match, Sunset Beach once again legitimized itself as the ultimate opener for the Stand Up World Tour.
